At the M4Energy City Biathlon Dresden, Olympic champions, world champions and World Cup winners come together for a truly unique competition in a special setting in the heart of the city centre. There is hardly any other place where the world's best in this discipline are so close to their fans. Experience an exciting race featuring top national and international athletes up close and get to know the biathlon stars of tomorrow.

Various talent and junior competitions will take place from Thursday to Saturday as part of the M4Energy City Biathlon: On Thursday and Friday mornings, with the support of Ostsächsische Sparkasse Dresden, a talent scouting event will be held with Dresden primary schools. There, the children will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of biathlon in a playful way at four activity stations featuring obstacle courses, inline courses, skiing experiences and laser shooting. Coaches from the Saxony Ski Association and Dresden ski clubs will be on hand to provide their expertise. The coveted places for school classes are already fully booked.

Para Biathlon Race
In addition to the two main races, there are further highlights for biathlon fans this year: a para-biathlon race featuring the best Paralympic athletes will demonstrate the diversity of the sport of biathlon. The competition will take the form of a 2-person team relay, with teams consisting of visually impaired (VI) female starters and standing men. There will be two shooting rounds (female starters will also have a shootout at the start). VI-athletes will be accompanied by a guide on the track, with shooting taking place via an acoustic signal.

Sparkassen Youngster Team Challenge
This year, the M4Energy City Biathlon will once again feature an international junior race in cooperation with the German Ski Association (DSV) and the Saxony Ski Association (SVS). This is where you can meet the superstars of tomorrow!
