Both top athletes and the spectators can expect a new attractive route through the inner city of Wiesbaden. The start and finishing area is situated on the Wilhelmstraße directly in front of the Kurhaus. From here, the athletes run past the theatre in the direction of Parkstraße. There they have to conquer the challenging climb of the so-called "Hochfilzner Höhe". This section of the course is "dedicated" to the 2017 World Championships in the Kitzbühel Alps in Hochfilzen, when Dominik Landertinger won the duel against Simon Schempp in the final climb and secured the bronze medal for the Austrians in the team competition. Afterwards the route continues through the beautiful Kurpark and over the Kurhausvorplatz. After the "JOKA curve", the route then runs along the Kurhaus colonnades back towards Wilhelmstraße.
But it is not only the route that has a lot to offer. Especially in the original 50 m small-calibre shooting range specially set up for this event opposite the Kurhaus, spectators and athletes will get the full nail-biting experience. Here you can witness the winter sport stars up close.
